The Rarest Chihuahua Colors

12/01/2023

The Chihuahua is a very popular breed, but some colors are harder to find than others. If you are looking to adopt a Chihuahua, consider these unique colors and see what they can offer you. What is the rarest chihuahua?  Click to know more.

Blue-eyed Chihuahuas are extremely rare. While this color can be found in other breeds, it is difficult to produce a pure blue. In order to get a blue Chihuahua, you need to combine two recessive genes. This will result in a solid blue coat, but it can also create health problems in the dog's puppies.

Merle is another extremely rare color. A merle dog is one that has a dark coat. It can also have splotches of different colors in its coat. These splotches may vary in size and shape. Some merle Chihuahuas will even appear to be healthy. However, they will have a higher risk of vision problems. So it is essential to be careful when choosing a merle puppy.

Lilac is also a very rare color. Like lavender, lilac is a color that requires a dilution of the "d" gene. Although lilac does not actually have purple in its coloring, it is a combination of blue and red highlights. Many people are confused as to what lilac is.

Another extremely rare color is Lavender. Lavender Chihuahuas are also very hard to come by. There is a way to get a Lavender Chihuahua, but it involves deleting the gene for ginger pigment in the red color. Alternatively, the same gene can be deleted to create a lavender coat.

Black and tan Chihuahuas are another rare color. They are basically the same as their Doberman brethren, but with tan accents on their belly. Typically, black and tan Chihuahuas have white markings.

Blue-eyed Chihuahuas will have a steely blue skin tone. This is similar to the coloring of the tiny Pit Bulls. You can buy a genuine blue-eyed Chihuahua for thousands of dollars.

Merle is another rare Chihuahua color. Because of the M gene, merle Chihuahuas are usually long-haired. Merle coat patterns can be very varied, though they typically have a darker tone than regular chihuahuas. Merle dogs have a higher chance of being affected by UV radiation, and are more susceptible to vision problems. For this reason, click here for more info about this topic.

'Pear head' Chihuahuas are very interesting-looking dogs. They have a large nose and a slightly flattened top of their skull. They can be very aggressive, especially when they are in unfamiliar situations. Their loyalty and devotion make them a great family pet. Nonetheless, they can be difficult to potty train. And they can suffer from separation anxiety when left alone.

Black and tan Chihuahuas also come in a wide variety of other colors. The base coat is black. There is a tan tip on the bottom of the coat, which is very similar to the tan color of the human body. 'Pear head' Chihuahuas have a slight flattened head, which makes them look like a pear. 'Pear head' Chihuahuas also tend to be a little bit bigger than their standard brethren.  Keep reading on  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toy_dog and most importantly, convert your knowledge into action, otherwise it remains a source of untapped energy as well as wasted potential.
